Valpolicella is often identified with Amarone and Recioto. Valpolicella, Valpolicella Superiore and Valpolicella Ripasso are also produced with the same Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Molinara vines. These wines, due to their qualities and characteristics, are often considered as the "younger brothers" of Amarone. In some cases the Valpolicella Ripasso in consistency and structure almost reaches the levels of the more celebrated Amarone.
