Peaty Whiskey

Peaty whiskey is a type of whiskey very common in Scotland, characterized by very smoky aromas and fragrances. This characteristic derives from the drying process of the barley grains using peat smoke. The latter is very abundant in the Hebrides and for this reason the whiskeys produced on Skye and Islay are particularly smoky.
