List of products by brand Roagna
The Cantina Roagna is located in Barbaresco, in the heart of the Langhe and produces wines that are pure and authentic expression of the territory.
To achieve this goal, he chose to work with old vines, with very deep root systems capable of giving grapes of great aromatic concentration. The soils are of marine sedimentary origin, with stratifications of calcareous clays alternating with gray-bluish marls and sands. The authenticity of each individual and different expression derives from minimal differences in the subsoil. The vines are not fertilized, no herbicides or pesticides are used and the soil is completely covered with grass, so that biodiversity is stimulated and the root systems are pushed to go deep. The vines present in the vineyards derive from wood of mother-vines of the area, so as to maintain a heterogeneous plant population.
In 2012, experimentation began with seed vines, obtained by sowing seeds of the oldest vines to originate new daughter plants and safeguard or even increase the biodiversity of the vineyard. In the cellar, as well as between the rows, the rules are strict and rigorous, followed to perfection, constantly and scrupulously: for fermentation, pied de cuve with indigenous yeasts are used and the macerations are very long, submerged, to transfer to the wine all that is precious in the bunches. The same philosophy is pursued for the phases of aging and aging: the controls are meticulous, and the final goal is always to enhance what the season and the territory have managed to express in the grapes.
From all this come about simply extraordinary wines, among which we meet some of the best labels from all of Piedmont. From Dolcetto to Barbera, we pass through Barolo and Barbaresco - with the latter coming from some of the most prestigious crus, such as Pajè or Asili - up to Barolo Chinato and Grappa: practically mythical labels.
