List of products by brand Chapelle de Blagny

In the Gallo-Roman period, the hamlet of Blagny was inhabited and its inhabitants were most likely already cultivating vines. From the 12th to the 18th century, the land of Blagny belonged to the Abbey of Maizières. Thanks to the care given by the monks to the cultivation of vines and the breeding of wines, Blagny was already very famous for the excellence of its wines. Sold as a national property in 1793, the property was purchased by an ancestor of the current owners in 1811. The next five generations will all be committed to preserving this excellence. Today, Jean-Louis de Montlivault is at the head of the company, while Etienne de Brichard is preparing to take over. The Blagny terroir, which is no more than 40 hectares, includes 20% of the «1st Cru» appellations of Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet, universally known for their excellent white wines. The soils, made up of clay-limestone marl, are suitable for both reds and whites. The vines, grouped around «Hameau de Blagny», are found in the highest part of the Premier Crus. The estate's vineyards are all located on the Blagny terroir. Since 2015 the company has obtained the High Environmental Value: certificate that corresponds to the highest level of a general environmental certification scheme for agricultural companies.
