Etna Rosso is a DOC wine produced in the following municipalities: Biancavilla, Santa Maria di Licodia, Paternò, Belpasso, Nicolosi, Pedara, Trecastagni, Viagrande, Aci Sant'Antonio, Acireale, Santa Venerina, Giarre, Mascali, Zafferana Etnea, Milo , Sant'Alfio, Piedimonte, Linguaglossa, Castiglione, Randazzo. It is produced with Nerello mascalese at least 80% and Nerello cappuccio (also known as Nerello mantellato) at most 20%.
