Champagne Brut Nature 'Clos du Château de Bligny' 6 Cepages by Château de Bligny is the last exception in Champagne created in 2004 by the Rapeneau family: the only Clos like Château in Champagne with the 6 grape varieties authorized by the appellation: Pinot Nero, Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and the forgotten: Arbane, Pinot Bianco and Petit Meslier. Arbane is an ancient native grape of the Aube which is characterized by its liveliness. Pinot Bianco gives a limpid and bright wine. Finally, Petit Meslier is an ancient Champagne grape where lime and violet aromas are revealed. This wine is born in the Côte des Bar, in the village of Bligny in Aube. Solar and powerful, in the mouth it is tonic and has a distinct sap that directs the finish towards rather appetizing bitters. 7,160 bottles

The Rapeneau family, after the acquisition of the castle, decided in 2004 to plant a vineyard surrounded by walls, following the traditional idea of the "Clos". To create an all-round bond with the territory, it was decided to plant the six symbolic varieties of Champagne, the classic Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier and the “forgotten” vines: Arbanne, Pinot Bianco and Petit Meslier. If the three traditional cepages bring us back to familiar sensations, the other three grapes punctuate the cuvée with peculiar notes to say the least: Arbanne (formerly widespread in the Aube) gives aromas and freshness, Pinot Blanc gives brilliance and structure, lastly, the Petit Meslier indulges with lime and violet aromas. The Rapeneau family's desire is to highlight every single variety, confronting the art of blending, the keystone of the Champagne concept.
