Marsala Superiore Secco [SS1516] 2016 by Florio is the result of a nomadic vision of refinement. Four years of pilgrimage in the naves of the Baglio, in vats and barrels of different sizes, paint an amber Marsala, clean and defined on the palate, dominated by bread crust, with elegant and light aromas of acacia honey and vanilla. Mild winters and very hot and dry summers, made beautiful by vigorous winds that bring the force of the sea between the rows of vines. With these grapes with a scent that is like no other, with an intense sugary and polyphenolic heritage, Marsala Florio is produced, starting the journey that will take it to the Cellar. Meditation wine goes well with high quality raw materials. Try it with… Oysters.

Founded in 1833 by Vincenzo Florio, the Cantine Florio of Marsala overlook the sea of western Sicily. Wrapped in the energy of the winds, made sapid by the sea, the Cellars welcome, beautiful and silent, the oak woods where the Marsala Florios refine in an apparently immobile movement. Hundreds of barrels, vats and caratelli, each with its own story, breathe the sea through the tuff floor, in the high naves where perfumes and architecture mix. In this wonderful place, where the Sicilian idea of beauty is distilled, the oenologist Tommaso Maggio, through the wise use of space, time and oxygen, creates Marsala in its many organoleptic forms.

THE WINE
Marsala Superiore Secco [SS1516] 2016 by Florio by Florio is the result of a nomadic vision of refinement, it tells the multifaceted faces of the Cantine Florio. With these grapes with a scent that is like no other, harvested only when the oenologist and agronomist decide they are ready, with an intense sugar and polyphenolic heritage, Marsala Florio is produced, starting the journey that will take it to the cellar. Meditation wine goes well with high quality raw materials. Try it with… Oysters.
