Malvasia delle Lipari Passito by Punta Aria is a sweet wine vinified with Malvasia grapes to which a very small percentage of black Corinth is added. Born from organic farming on the beautiful island of Vulcano, in the Aeolian Islands. Rich, intense and complex. After a natural drying of 3 weeks it ferments and ages in small oak barrels. Complex and intense bouquet, with hints of bitter orange jam and fresh citrus fruits, orange peel, apricots and peaches. Surprising, sweet, full and intense taste, iodized, marine, but with a very lively mineral vein. Very long. Winner at the IWSC in London and at the Cervim World Championship of extreme wines. Concentrated and at the same time fresh, sweet and never cloying, it is absolutely a wine to love from the very first sip.

Punta Aria project was born as a farmhouse in Vulcano, one of the islands belonging to the Sicilian Aeolian archipelago. At the beginning of the 2000s it was Francangelo Pollastri who rolling up his sleeves began to clean up a forgotten beach from the scrub, which since Roman times was famous not only for its beauty, but also for the quality of the grapes produced by the vineyards planted close to the sea. Of clear volcanic origin, the soils of the island are able to give the fruits an extraordinary minerality, which combined with the strong wind that blows on the island, gives the bunches practically unique characteristics. The bet to bottle a Malvasia on this island could only lead to an exceptional result. It all starts from the work between the rows, carried out with attention and rigor, with the utmost respect for nature, biodiversity, the ecosystem and the environment, so as to get to harvest, year after year, healthy, honest grapes. and concentrated in every little nuance. Before arriving in the cellar, subsequently, a fundamental production phase is that of drying, which carried out directly under the rays of the sun or carried out in the fruit cellar, has the task of reducing the most liquid part contained in the grapes, so as to obtain wines rich in sugar and high alcohol content. In the cellar, then, every working step, from fermentation to aging, from bottling to refinement, is carefully controlled, in order to promptly reach the highest quality standards.
