Il Sogno 2019 (750 ml. boxed) - Travaglini

'Il Sogno' by Travaglini is a wine from withered Nebbiolo grapes, which expresses seductive aromas and sweet aromas of extraordinary intensity. The grapes are left to dry for about 100 days on racks, at a natural and ventilated temperature to obtain a great, inimitable wine that is unmatched for its structure and longevity. Passito wine recommended with red meat dishes, stews, aged cheeses and dark chocolate.

Located in the heart of Gattinara, Travaglini was established in the 1920s by Clemente Travaglini.

In 1958 Arturo Travaglini followed in his father’s footsteps and took over the helm at the winery.

The family’s passion and commitment to winemaking has not diminished through the generations; Cinzia Travaglini, great-
granddaughter of Clemente, manages day-to-day operations at winery. Her husband Massimo Collauto is the chief winemaker, a role he inherited from his late father-
in-law and beloved mentor, Giancarlo Travaglini.

Throughout the years, Travaglini has established itself in Gattinara as the most esteemed producer of traditional, limited-production wines from the Nebbiolo grape.

Travaglini wines illustrate the full range of expressions Nebbiolo can achieve.

“Gattinara DOCG” has great structure and longevity, while “Nebbiolo DOC Coste delle Sesia” is young, fruity and easy to drink.

Address:

Via delle Vigne, 36 - 13045 Gattinara (VC), Italy

Color: rich and bright.

Bouquet: it is indulged slowly, with a generous abundance of cherry fragrances, blackberry and plum jam, black cherry syrup and balsamic nuances. It is completed with hints of menthol and anise giving breath to the spiciness of cocoa and cinnamon, combined with candied citrus peel, potpourri, mineral nuances and raisins.

Taste: soft and structured, it develops supported by tension and freshness, characterized by a pleasant savory note and enveloping tannin. The perfect balance makes the tasting long and memorable.
