Porto Tawny 10 Years Old by Quinta Do Noval is obtained from the best blend of grapes from the Douro valley. It was born from Antònio Agrellos' art of making the vintages mature in old oak barrels and then assembling them harmoniously in a wine that represents the historical memory of the cellar. Come aged Tawny shows an indication of age which indicates the average duration of the refinement of the wines in the blend. The sensitive tasting of the winemaker, able to recognize the style of a given blend (made up of dozens of wines), will define a 10, 20, 30 or 40 year old Tawny. This 10 Years Old is recognizable for its brilliance and complex aromas of young and dried fruit. Rich and smooth on the palate, it offers an elegant structure and long lingering finish.

Recognized worldwide for its Ports, Quinta do Noval produces great wines that bear the imprint of their terroir. Having regained possession of its historical place among the major Port Houses, after the tarnishings experienced between the 70s and 80s, there are many reasons why, in different eras, the Quinta do Noval company has been and will not stop to be one of the most pioneering companies in the region. The subtle differences in climates and soils of the different parcels of this expansive estate give Noval's wines a unique complexity and depth, both in the ports and in the red wines and unfortified white wines. Here are some of the characteristics that distinguish it: the adoption of sloping terraces (socalcos the controversial invention of the Late Bottled Vintage typology; the marketing of the first Tawny with the indication on the label of the average aging of the wines that form the blend the gradual move of the entire winery from Vila Nova de Gaia to the heart of the Douro valley, as soon as this became legal, in the year 1986.
