Bolgheri Superiore 'Tenuta Hortense' by Fratini is a novelty in the panorama of Bolgheri. The winemaker of Tenuta Hortense, tells the main steps to produce his 'design': a path that starts from the vineyard where a precise vineyard of Cabernet Sauvignon has been defined, particularly elegant in the tannic-mineral trait, in the cellar fermentation with spontaneous yeasts, long maceration on the skins and aging for 18 months in 500 liter barrels. In addition to Cabernet Sauvignon which is the main grape, there are small percentages of the other Bordeaux varieties, Cabernet Franc and Merlot that can enter the blend to contribute to the perfect design of elegance and gustatory dynamics'. A wine destined to make history.

The brothers Corrado and Marcello Fratini, who founded Tenuta Argentiera in 1999, "try again", with a different project: Tenuta Hortense, 10 hectares of vineyards in Castagneto Carducci, almost all of them with Cabernet Sauvignon, but also a little with Merlot and Cabernet Franc , where to produce wines of the highest quality. Through a process, started right from the choice of the land, led by a real team of experts, led by the agronomist Gianni Moscardini, flanked by the oenologists Eric Boissenot, consultant of important Bordeaux chateaux (from Lafite-Rothschild to Margaux, in Mouton -Rothschild) and Emiliano Falsini, consultant in the main Italian terroirs, from Barolo to Etna, passing through Bolgheri, by the agronomist Xavier Choné, Pedro Parra of the Chilean studio Agroprecision of Nelson Muñoz J and by Françoise Vannier of Adama Terroirs Viticoles. A small production of only 5-6,000 bottles of Bolgheri Superiore.
