Barolo DOCG 'Coste di Rose' 2016 (750 ml.) - G.D. Vajra

Barolo 'Coste di Rose' by G.D. Vajra is synonymous with grace and elegance. Wine of great finesse and complexity thanks to the soils from which it originates rich in ancient sandstones. Refine in oak barrels for 36 months. It is a voluptuous and versatile wine with food. Intense and elegant hints of cherry and ripe red fruit, followed by rose petals, hints of mint and vanilla. Juicy taste, with tones of black cherry, silky tannins and well integrated into the solid structure, salty aftertaste. Soft and satisfying, excellent with traditional Piedmontese dishes.

“We produce Barolo but not only, because we love all the wines of our land. We believe in beauty, in work done well, in attention to detail, in creativity that respects tradition. We are a family and artisan company. We are accompanied by a young team, as enthusiastic and passionate as we are. We follow the work of our vineyards directly, because it is the basis of uncompromising quality, but above all because we like it so much. Our wines are born elegant, complex, delicate. They have the identity and personality that we would like to find in every glass on our table ". These are the words with which the Vajra company presents itself: a real undisputed reference point of the lands of langa, or a winery that has always been linked to traditions and to the territory to which it belongs, capable of establishing itself over time with products which have reached absolute quality levels.

Vajra is one of the historical names of the Piedmontese Langhe, since 1972 a company extended over a vineyard area that covers a total of fifty hectares. Located in the municipality of Barolo, the winery produces highly territorial wines, starting from all those that are the most typical vine varieties of the area.

A family-run company, where two generations collaborate side by side, creating a set of dynamism and loyalty towards the most ancient local traditions, to which is added a particular attention to the most modern technical and scientific innovations that progress is capable of at the moment to offer: mass selections, treatments made with the utmost respect for the territory and nature using synthetic products only where strictly necessary. During the harvest, and also afterwards, rigorous selections of the grapes are carried out, in order to obtain in each bottle the maximum result in terms of fidelity to the grape variety and to the Langhe terroir. Wines that are simply excellent, those labeled "Vajra", capable of expressing the best wine essence of the Piedmontese lands like few others.
