'Marciliano' by Cotarella Family is a great classic based on cabernet sauvignon and franc, grapes that express their best here. A red whose vinification takes place in steel and whose maturation continues in barrique for at least 16 months. Deep and complex wine, warm and enveloping, calibrated by a soft and defined tannic texture, of great harmony. Perfect expression of the winemaking potential of the Montecchio area and Cotarella Family's vocation for excellence.

The link between the Cotarella Family and the world of wine originated in the 1960s, when Antonio and Domenico Cotarella, winemakers in Monterubiaglio, a hamlet in the municipality of Castel Viscardo in the province of Terni, built the first winery for their own wine production. . The brothers Renzo and Riccardo Cotarella, both winemakers who grew up in a land of long winemaking traditions, driven by the passion of their father Domenico, then founded the current "Falesco" in 1979, transforming what used to be a small family business into a wine company. successful, to be left to later generations.
It is here, between Umbria and Lazio, that wines of unquestionable charm are born, characterized by a contemporary style and at the same time characterized by a particular longevity. Wines that in a few decades have become ambassadors of Italian wine in the world.
The company currently extends over an area planted with vines covering approximately 280 hectares, to which a further ninety hectares currently rented should be added. In a hilly area characterized by soils of volcanic origin, both autochthonous and international grapes are cultivated, whereby among the rows we find plants of aleatico, trebbiano, malvasia, verdicchio, sangiovese and vermentino, and again of merlot, syrah, viognier and cabernet. Bunches bred in full respect of the environment and ecosystem, which in the cellar are processed using the most modern and advanced oenological instruments, always used without ever distorting what the terroir and the season have come to express in the fruit.
