'Le Contrade' Gift Box by Tasca Conti d'Almerita contains a selection of three 750ml bottles. of Nerello Mascalese from three crus of the slopes of Etna:

CONTRADA PIANODARIO - Pianodario, one of the 4 districts where Tasca d'Almerita works, is located at an average altitude of 775 meters above sea level, between the hamlet of Montelaguardia and Randazzo, is an area of ​​7.91 hectares of which 3, 8 hectares of vineyards, characterized by terraces with dry stone walls and with a morphology degrading from south to north with an average slope of 7%. The territory in which the vineyards fall is characterized by formations of volcanic origin aged between 15,000 and 4,000 years. It is possible to hypothesize a stratigraphic succession below the vineyards of Pianodario in which under a soil cover there are soils aged between 15,000 and 4,000 years on much older soils (40,000-30,000 years).

CONTRADA RAMPANTE - Rampante, one of the 4 districts in which Tasca d'Almerita works, is located at an average altitude of 740 meters above sea level, between Solicchiata and Passopisciaro, is an area of ​​4.6 hectares of vineyards, with large terraces to drywall and a sloping morphology from south-east to north-east with an average gradient of 4.7%. The territory in which the vineyards of the Rampante district fall is characterized by formations of volcanic origin of different lithological characterization, but of the same time period (between 15 thousand and 4 thousand years).

CONTRADA SCIARANUOVA - Sciaranuova, one of the 4 districts in which Tasca d'Almerita works, is located at an average altitude of 730 meters above sea level, between the hamlets of Montelaguardia and Passopisciaro, is an area of ​​14.40 hectares of which 4, 9 hectares of vineyards, characterized by terraces with dry stone walls and more than 7 hectares of chestnut wood. It has a sloping morphology from south-west to north-east with an average slope of 8.5%. The territory in which the Sciaranuova district vineyards fall is characterized by formations of volcanic origin aged between 40,000 and 4,000 years.

Austere and elegant red wines that come from vines over 50 years old planted on soils of volcanic origin. They mature in barrique for at least 12 months. Available in an elegant decorated wooden gift box and corkscrew.

THE COMPANY

Our story is written in the land, the same land where for eight generations we have dedicated the attention and love that you devote to a family member. Our grandparents taught us to respect the land, keeping an eye on the future. And this vision, still today, allows us to have thriving vineyards and rich, fertile land to farm. Over the years, a precise project to enhance and develop native varieties and territories with greater wine-growing vocation led us to expand. In addition to the historical estate, Regaleali, we now have Capofaro on Salina, in the Aeolian islands; Tascante on Mount Etna; Whitaker on Mozia in the province of Trapani; and Sallier de La Tour in the DOC Monreale area. Each of these estates has a story to tell, each one recounts a different Sicily. The greatest challenge for us now is that of preserving these places to leave our children a better environment, with constant attention to safeguarding each individual ecosystem.
