Brunello di Montalcino Riserva by Palazzo is produced only in the best years with very selected grapes and with an additional 12 months of aging in French oak tonneaux (500 litres). At sight it is vivid ruby, the nose is broad and complex and reveals important balsamic and undergrowth notes, sage, rosemary, hints of small red fruits and subtle toasting notes. Full-bodied and well structured, with an intense and persistent taste, it has a good balance between acidity and minerality and a very seductive tannic finish. It is the Brunello for special occasions. It accompanies roasted Chianina meats, Florentine steak, game stews, but also first courses with game ragout are the natural combination with this wine, which wants equally noble flavours.

Belonging to Cosimo Loia since 1983, Palazzo is a reality steeped in history and traditions, located on the south-east side of Montalcino. The functional buildings of the estate, which date back to the seventeenth century, over the years have been restored to meet the needs of modern agriculture. All stages of the production chain, from the cultivation of the vine to the sale of wine, are directly supervised by the members of the family. The grapes are harvested by hand from the four hectares of vineyards, exposed to the sun from dawn to dusk and well protected from the coldest winds. With a production that is around 22 thousand bottles a year, the Loia family wants to maintain a line that favors quality at the expense of quantity. Inside an old farmhouse an area for the aging of wine has been specifically created, while a new and functional structure has been built for vinification, bottling, storage and bottle aging. The Palazzo labels regularly reach the top of excellence every year, reflecting the integrity and dedication of those who have committed themselves to achieving these results.
