Greatness and elegance for this red wine.
THE COMPANY
The company was founded in 1967 by the Sacchet and Zaccheo families, towards the end of the sixties Giovanni Carlo Sacchet and Antonio Mario Zaccheo founded the Carpineto with the aim of producing an internationally classic Chianti. This represented, at that time, a real revolution in a world, that of the Chianti which until then had remained too traditional.
Under their direction, Carpineto has grown to become a company with an international reputation, having succeeded in producing wines of great intensity and extract, reliable and above all of constant quality over time. Today the Carpineto reds are renowned precisely for these characteristics that in recent years have even strengthened. Great credit must be given to the long aging that often exceeds the limit required by the various disciplinary rules by six / twelve months.
Carpineto operates in Tuscany paying particular attention to the deep roots of its own tradition and its historical name. The management of the vineyards is characterized by a low environmental impact regime and is supported by wineries managed with the utmost respect for natural phenomena that transform grapes into wine. From the combination of these factors are born wines that have a close link with the territory, reflecting the peculiarities of each individual vineyard and its denomination, distilling the aromas and the "culture" that are kept alive and fragrant in the bottle even for many decades.
The product line in fact includes wines from the most prestigious DOCGs up to varietal wines of great structure. These are wines that are exported to 70 countries around the world. About 95% of the entire production is made up of red wines, and most of this is made up of wines that have aged three years and more before being placed on the market.
