Pinot Noir 'Te Wahi' by Cloudy Bay is one of New Zealand's most interesting. Grapes from the Northburn and Calvert vineyards, cultivated on the Central Otago estate, the southernmost wine-growing area of the New World, with a cool climate and suitable soil. The winemaking and aging techniques aim to approach the level of the great French wines. Matured for 14 months in French oak barrels. Full-bodied and elegant red with a decidedly complex, intense and soft sip, with well-integrated tannin supported by notable fruity richness, with spicy and toasted hints, typical of the production area, and toasted and smoky nuances brought about by the long maturation in wood. An absolutely territorial and typical wine, like its name which in Maori means 'the place'.

The Cloudy Bay estate in New Zealand produces exceptional wines that reflect the terroir of origin. For over 30 years the estate has been a protagonist of the international wine market. Created in 1985 by David Hohnen, founder of the Cape Mentelle estate in Australia, the Cloudy Bay vineyards extend to the mouth of the bay of the same name in New Zealand. Located between the Pacific Ocean and the Richmond Range mountains, this piece of land offers a truly extraordinary landscape. Cloudy Bay, one of the first estates in the Marlborough region, has contributed enormously to making New Zealand one of the most important wine producing areas of the "New World". The sense of detail is a crucial strength for the estate and is one of the values that have contributed to the exceptional nature of its wines. In the production process Cloudy Bay takes into consideration a variety of aspects, not least the environmental impact. This is why sustainable development has always played a fundamental role within the company. Cloudy Bay is firmly committed to implementing good environmental practices in the management of its wine business and in the cultivation of its vineyards, for a production that is both integrated and unique.
