Malbec 'Gran Vu' by Salentein is a blend of Malbec (73%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (27%). Born in the Valle de Uco of Mendoza close to the Andes from small parcels of vineyards: Malbec at 1,200 meters above sea level. from 20-year-old vineyards and the Cabernet Sauvignon from 17-year-old vineyards at 1,150 meters above sea level. The bunches are harvested by hand early in the morning and sent to the cellar where the clusters are selected by hand. The wine is aged for 24 months in French oak. The hints of red fruits, licorice and mint immediately stand out, followed by notes of sweet spices. When tasted it is elegant and well structured with soft and velvety tannins. It recalls berries, spices and graphite notes and a long and persistent finish. Annual production 6,000 bottles.

At the foot of the Andes chain, in the wine-growing area of the Uco Valley, stands the Argentine wine company Salentein, born with a precise objective: to produce top-class wines linked to the territory of origin. The modern cellar was designed based on two main concepts: aesthetics and functionality.
The almost 50 hectares of rows cultivated by the Salentein winery are located in the Uco Valley, Mendoza, where the vines benefit from the soils consisting mainly of sand and silt, the high altitudes that reach 1,700 meters above sea level and the dry climate characterized by notable temperature variations between day and night. In this pedoclimatic context the estate applies sustainable viticulture in the cultivation of the Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc vines.
The Salentein winery is the creator of a vast production based on Malbec, an emblematic vine of the Mendoza area, alongside numerous other fine labels from international grapes. The main selections proposed by the bodega are: 'Numina', a line that expresses the spirit of the area where the estate was founded, 'Single Vineyard', from single plots located in the highest area of the Uco Valley, and 'Primus', a range iconic produced exclusively in the best vintages. In general, the wines of Salentein manage to combine the maturity due to the sunny climate of Mendoza, the slender freshness given by the high altitudes of the area and the strong aromatic fragrance that derives from the important temperature variations.
