Nizza 'Augusta' by Isolabella della Croce is a Barbera d'Asti Superiore produced in a highly suitable restricted area, including 18 municipalities around Nizza Monferrato, with extremely strict rules regarding both the vineyard and the wine. The grapes are harvested by hand when fully ripe, destemmed and delicately pressed. The wine is aged in small oak barrels for a period of approximately 12 months, before being bottled. This is followed by a further period of at least 18 months of rest in the bottle. Ruby red color with evident purple reflections, complex aroma of good intensity, hints of fruit in syrup, vanilla and light toast. Dry, warm, full in the mouth, good structure and persistence with pleasant final light tannins, in good harmony.

Company was set from the Isolabella della Croce family's passion for Loazzolo, an enchanting village set in a natural amphitheater at more than 500 m. a.s.l. The vines are immersed in the woods and thus preserved from the scorching summer heat, with the night offering thermal excursions of up to fifteen degrees. The main production is focused on the Barbera grape, declined in the two DOCGs of Nizza and Barbera d'Asti Superiore. Moscato d'Asti also finds its natural expression in these places, flanked by two wines of international character, such as Pinot Noir and Sauvignon, on which the company has focused in recent years.
