Domaine Jérôme Chézeaux was built from the foundations of Julien Missery's historic domaine. Bernard Chezeaux purchased the property in 1971, initially giving the grapes to negociants in the area. With his death in 1993 the domaine passed to his son Jérome who began bottling his own wine from the domaine. The property is located in the municipality of Prémeaux-Prissey, south of Nuits Saint Georges, and has expanded by a further 12 hectares owned by Jérome's wife, Pierrette. The vineyards, impeccably looked after and cultivated in rational agriculture, are scattered throughout the villages of Prémeaux, Nuits Saint Georges, Vougeot and Vosne Romenée and include some of the most prestigious lieu-dits in the area. Jérome Chézeau faithfully follows tradition and a non-interventionist method in the cellar. The purity of his wines is revealing, there is a simple magnificence in all his bottles.
