Freisa 'Braghè' by Claudio Mariotto is made in the Colli Tortonesi area, an area of Piedmont almost on the border with Liguria, where this historic vine is expressed with intense and pleasantly rich wines. The vineyards are cultivated without the use of chemical fertilizers, herbicides or systemic products. Freisa is a grape variety with a history of over 500 years. Aging for 6 months in steel tanks and at least 6 months in the bottle. Elegant, delicate with a background of rose, morello cherry and raspberry, which evolves into pleasant musky scents with ageing. Fresh and bringer of festive cheer.

Claudio Mariotto winery is not only among the most famous in the Colli Tortonesi area, but has contributed significantly to the rebirth and valorization of this territory and its symbolic grape variety: Timorasso. The estate is near Vho and covers an area of over 50 hectares. The vineyards are all located in a hilly area, at an altitude between 250 and 300 meters above sea level. Its origins date back to the early 1920s, when the current owner's great-grandfather began planting the first vineyards. The company has retained its typically family character and has been able to carry on the most ancient local traditions over time, valorising native grapes and producing artisanal wines of excellent quality.
The Tortona area is located in the south-eastern part of Piedmont, towards the border with Liguria and has a very particular microclimate that is particularly suited to viticulture. The vineyards are grown in the pre-Apennine hilly area, which is only 60 kilometers from the sea. Sunny exposures are affected by the influence of breezes, which help maintain the climate sweet and temperate. The vineyards are managed with full respect for the environment, without the use of pesticides. Among the rows there are the historic vines of the area, Barbera, Dolcetto, Cortese and above all Timorasso, a grape with considerable oenological potential, which today represents the symbol of the territory.
