'Campo San Giorgio' by Umani Ronchi is a Conero Riserva which takes its name from the parcel of the vineyard located in the municipality of Osimo, which has been able to stand out over the years for its extraordinary quality. Aging for 12 months in small wooden barrels; further 6 months of maturation in large barrels precedes bottling and the last 8-10 months rest before release. Perfume is markedly fruity in its memories of cherry and plum, set against a spicy background of licorice and vanilla. Intense, dense, enveloping taste with balanced and velvety tannins. Great.

Umani Ronchi winery is one of the historic, largest and best known production companies in the Marche region. Its strength and the secret of its success lie in the continuous ability to renew itself and in the courage to question itself, continuously improving production and always staying up-to-date on the latest trends, keeping its feet firmly in company traditions and those of the territory. It was founded in 1957 by Gino Umani Ronchi in Cupramontana, in the heart of the Verdicchio production, and today it can boast vast properties not only in the territory of the Castelli di Jesi, but also in the Conero and Abruzzo. For over 50 years it has been managed by the Bianchi Bernetti family, which, thanks to the activity of Massimo and then of his son Michele, has been able to enhance and make known the labels produced around the world.
The Umani Ronchi winery has gone through and successfully overcome an epochal change, converting hundreds of hectares of vineyards to organic farming, thanks to the expertise of the agronomist Luigi Piersanti. The renewal and modernization involved the entire production, capable of combining the typical features of the territory, the varietal character of the grapes and a modern and elegant style. Each production site has its own cellar, according to the 'three cellars for three territories' principle: Osimo, where the great reds are born; Castelbellino, the cradle of Verdicchio, and Montipagano, the Abruzzo headquarters.
The name of Umani Ronchi has always been linked to the excellence of two renowned wine specialties: Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi and Rosso Conero, based on Montepulciano. Alongside these, in recent years Abruzzo wines have also been produced starting from indigenous varieties that immediately found great success. The identification and enhancement of very suitable vineyards has allowed the Bianchi Bernetti family to focus more and more on quality and territorial typicality. After more than half a century of history, this winery has been able to maintain a reference role in the regional wine scene.
