Pinotage Rosé by Aaldering Vineyards & Wines is made in the Devon Valley, in the Stellenbosch region of South Africa, one of the most suitable areas in the country. Pinotage is the native South African grape variety par excellence, it is a cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsaut. The grapes are harvested early in the morning, destemmed and lightly pressed. They are then left in contact with the skins for 2 hours. The must is fermented (selected yeasts and spontaneous fermentation) in stainless steel (60%) and 3rd passage French oak barrels (40%). The wine rests on the noble lees for approximately 6 months. Rosé with fruity aromas with notes of raspberry and strawberries. Notes of coconut and caramel with exotic spices. Annual production 2,500 bottles.

Aaldering Vineyards & Wines, founded in 2004 by the Dutch couple Marianne and Fons Aaldering, is located in Stellenbosch, one of the wine-growing areas of excellence, in the Cape Winelands district, Western Cape province, immersed in the peace and tranquility of the vineyards that surround it and just 45 km from the city of Cape Town. The terroir is that of the Devon Valley, in particular the areas of Hutton (characterised by soil rich in granite, reddish-brown in color due to the presence of iron oxide hydrate) and Clovelly (soil similar to that of Hutton but more clayey) . This area is well known for the quality of red wines produced from grape varieties: Pinotage, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, the same ones grown by the winery. The wines are produced with great care and passion, with the assistance of a reliable and devoted staff. Elements of both organic and biodynamic agriculture are used, preferring organic products and trying to minimize chemical ones as much as possible, making the most of what nature has to offer.
