A winery that needs no introduction, whose myth was born thanks to the intuition of a man, Giulio Ferrari, and the dream of creating in Trentino a wine capable of comparing itself with the best French Champagnes. A real pioneer, in fact it is he who first senses the extraordinary vocation of the land of him, he who first spreads Chardonnay in Italy. This is how he begins to produce a few carefully selected bottles with an obsessive cult for quality. Wines that immediately enter the hearts of the most demanding enthusiasts than ever, in Italy, had found sparkling wines so elegant, fine, surprising. However, having no children, Giulio Ferrari looks for a successor to whom he can entrust his dream. Among the many suitors he chooses Bruno Lunelli, owner of a famous wine shop in Trento. Thanks to his passion and entrepreneurial talent, Bruno manages in a very short time, we are in the first half of the 50s, to increase production without ever compromising on quality, following the same line drawn by the founder. The tradition continues, and Bruno Lunelli transmits the passion to his sons: under the guidance of Franco, Gino and Mauro, Ferrari becomes the leader in Italy and the Italian toast par excellence. In these years some of the labels destined to make history saw the light: they are the Ferrari Rosé, the Ferrari Perlé and the Giulio Ferrari Riserva del Fondatore. Today, after more than a hundred years, Ferrari is synonymous with the best Italian sparkling wines. Unique wines, real hymns to the greatness of an unrivaled winery and a territory, that of Trento, which has proven to be able to offer some of the best bubbles in the world.
Address:
Ferrari Brothers. Lunelli, Via del Ponte di Ravina 15, 38121 - Trento (TN), Italy
Perlage: very fine and rhythmic, magical bubbles
Color: bright and shiny pure gold
Bouquet: the freshness of apricot, yellow grapefruit, lemon peel and yellow wild flowers, almond and mint alternates with more complex and evolutionary notes, such as dandelion honey, brioche bread and talc.
Taste: the sip is surprising for its intensity and strength, for its enveloping and length. In its richness, the proportions are maintained exactly, without ever being excessive. The perfect balance of the dosage manages to enhance all the components of the wine, making it extremely refined. The finish is in continuous tension. It even offers exploratory notes of gentian, iodine and delicate smokiness.
