Brut Nature Vintage 2019 by Ronco Calino tells the unrepeatable personality of the single harvest. Blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, from vines of about 30 years of age grown using organic farming. The separate vinification for each parcel allows us to enhance the uniqueness of its profile. Only the free-run must is extracted. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks, a part of the Chardonnay ferments in French oak barriques. It ages for at least 55 months on the lees and a further 6 months after disgorging. It emanates floral scents of dandelion and fruity notes of wild blackberry, mango and fig compote, balsamic notes of laurel and cedar wood. Full and enveloping taste, it suggests references to small pastries, almond ice cream and vanilla pod. The finish, long and savoury, closes with a pleasant hint of marzipan and toasted hazelnut.

Ronco Calino is located in an extraordinary corner of Franciacorta, sheltered by the hill on which the pianist Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli wanted to build his home. This oasis, surrounded by 10 hectares of organic vineyard and immersed in the sounds and colors of nature, was a place of inspiration for Paolo Radici, an industrialist in love with wine, in 1996. The cellar was built at the foot of the residence: here time seems to slow down. Care, rigor and the ability to wait are the premises for creating Franciacortas that have their stylistic hallmark in authenticity, elegance and longevity. Among the varieties planted, Chardonnay dominates, but it is Pinot Noir that finds its place of choice. With the exception of Satèn, the magnificent grape participates, in fact, in the cuvée of all the Franciacortas in the collection, which at Ronco Calino rest on the lees at least one year longer than required by the Disciplinary. The sugar content is moderate, if not absent, so that the true personality of the wine emerges.
