The Old World Rye aged 12 years from WhistlePig represents the forefront of WhistlePig finishing. This rye whiskey is the result of three finishes, each with its own distinctive aromatic profiles. After maturing for 12 years in New American Oak, the distillate is divided into one of three barrels: Madeira (63%), Sauternes (30%), and Port (7%). Refined to perfection and blended into a symphony of flavors. It started as a great experiment and concluded as the first rye whiskey of its kind, capable of giving rye all its glory. Just like a good wine, the rich notes of fruit and spices in the Old World Rye are excellent paired with an epic meal.

THE DISTILLERY

Miles from civilization and distraction, The WhistlePig Farm is a rugged and fertile ground for whisky exploration, surrounded by 500 acres of rye and experimental crop fields, Vermont oak trees, fresh well water, a sugar maple bush, and panoramic views of the Green Mountains. After meticulous renovation and care, we have transformed a 150-year-old barn into the most unique whisky distillery in the world. We distill 7 days a week, working 24 hours a day to bring you a complex, rare, and unusual whisky as bold as the place it is produced. Our young and rebellious team is committed to breaking the rules, challenging tradition, and forging new paths with determination, laughter, and grit. We changed the game of Rye Whisky over ten years ago and continue to set the standard every day.
