Sauvignon Blanc 'Pioneer Block 6' by Saint Clair is a New Zealand white wine with intense and elegant aromas that comes from one of the most suitable areas of the whole island, the Marlborough Valley. Here the soil is deep, highly suited to viticulture, beaten by a cool maritime climate. The vinification takes place in steel containers at low temperatures, so as to maintain the fragrance of the primary aromas of the grapes. The refinement takes place for a few months always in steel. The 'Pioneer Block 6' presents a bouquet with intensely concentrated aromas of linden leaf and crushed thyme with herbaceous green characters. Incredibly pungent taste with powerful flavors of passion fruit, grapefruit and fresh herbs. Long and persistent finish.

Saint Clair winery was born in 1978, when New Zealand and the Marlborough wine area were unknown to most. Neal and Judy Ibbotson decided to plant the first Sauvignon vineyards, convinced that this prestigious vine could give great results in the New Zealand terroir. Today the situation has definitely changed: New Zealand is considered one of the most suitable regions in the world for the production of Sauvignon and the Marlborough area represents a real guarantee for lovers of quality wine.
Saint Clair produces its wines in the northern tip of New Zealand's South Island, where the vineyards are protected by mountains on either side and the sun warms the grapes for many hours a day. For this reason the grape maintains a perfect relationship between sugars and acids, developing unique and well representative aromas of the terroir. It is no coincidence that Decanter has chosen Saint Clair's Sauvignons as the best Sauvignons in the world for two years. Despite its great worldwide success, Saint Clair remains a family-run winery, always led with the same passion as Neal and Judy.
If you want to experience extremely elegant Sauvignons, able to tell the soul of a distant land, surrounded by the waters of the Pacific Ocean, Saint Clair represents the best choice. A winery that has made the history of New Zealand and has brought the world's excellence of wine southwards, towards the Southern Hemisphere and the wonderful vineyards of Marlborough.
