Hautes Cotes De Beaune Blanc by Domaine Bouthenet is a soft and creamy Chardonnay from the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune, the highest and coolest part of the Burgundy hills. It is a label that well expresses the style of this family domaine, capable of making excellent wines. The vines are 20 years old. 12 months of aging on the fine lees in barriques, 10% new and the rest already used. Very interesting wine, capable of expressing a perfect balance between freshness and fruit. Aromas of orange blossom flowers, acacia, aromas of lime and citrus peel, light tropical nuances, and a delicate spicy touch. Soft and creamy sip, with fruity and citrus aromas, vibrant freshness and closure on pleasantly savory and citrus notes.

Domaine Marc Bouthenet is located in Burgundy in Cheilly-les-Maranges, in the southern area of the Côte de Beaune, almost on the border with the Côte Chalonnaise. It is a domaine distributed in the 3 municipalities of Maranges and Santenay, managed by a family that has been dedicated to viticulture for over four generations. Today at the helm of the estate is Marc, who after having traveled the world gaining winemaking experiences in numerous cellars in important wine regions, has returned to France to continue the family tradition. The Domaine has grown over time thanks to the purchase of particularly valuable parcels and today extends over 20 hectares.
The vineyards constitute the precious treasure of the Domaine and are managed with great attention to the environment, according to the principles of "lutte raisonnée". Marc is, in fact, aware that great wines can only be created from healthy and genuine grapes, in line with the centuries-old tradition of excellence of a world-famous region like Burgundy. The inter-rows are grassed to promote biodiversity and the natural fertility of the land. Only organic fertilizers are used and treatments are carried out for each individual plot and only when strictly necessary. The vineyards have an average age of around 45 years and are cultivated with low yields, in order to obtain few bunches per plant, with good concentrations of aromas.
According to the most ancient customs of the area, the classic grapes of the area find space in the Domaine's vineyards: primarily Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, but also Aligoté, which in this area expresses itself at levels of excellence. All harvests take place with hand picking and selection of the best bunches in the vineyard. The vinifications are conducted in a traditional way, with minimal intervention, in order to maximize the quality of the grapes. The refinements take place in French oak barriques, according to local customs. Domaine Bouthenet offers a range of very interesting labels, which highlight the peculiarities of each terroir of the estate, with even Premier Cru bottles of notable quality.
