Grand Reserve White by Ixsir is a fresh and soft white wine of Lebanese origin, a blend of Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay grapes from vines from different regions of Lebanon (Batroun, Kab Elias, Ainata, Jezzine, Deir El Ahmar & Niha) cultivated at different altitudes from 1,100 to 1,300 m above sea level. The wine matures for 5 months in large French oak barrels (50% new, 50% used once). Carefully handcrafted, the wines reflect the purity and freshness of the Lebanese mountains giving an intense bouquet with notes of white flowers, peach and citrus. When tasted it is balanced between softness and a pleasant freshness with a slightly toasted note on the finish.

The name of the Ixsir winery derives directly from "Iksir", the original Arabic word meaning "Elixir", a word common to many languages used to define the purest form of different substances. Starting from these bases of essential quality and philosophical linearity, the winery was founded in 2009 by a close-knit group of friends who shared a passion for good wine and the conviviality it creates. The vision that animates this production reality is fueled by the love for a terroir often not considered or worse forgotten, an area which showed great potential that was still unexpressed: Lebanon. Here the vineyards are cultivated with respect and according to the canons of sustainable agriculture.
The vineyards of the Ixsir winery are spread throughout the national territory, from the towns of Batroun to Jezzine, passing through the mountains of Lebanon where they rest on clayey and limestone-rich soils, benefiting from numerous microclimates unique to their geographical positioning. Furthermore, the land owned by the winery reaches 1800 meters above sea level, a characteristic that makes Ixsir the title of owner of the highest vineyards in the entire northern hemisphere.
Ixsir carries out its oenological processes in a traditional Lebanese-style house dating back to the 17th century which, resting on a hill with steep slopes in the municipality of Batroun, conceals beneath it a contemporary cellar suitable for winemaking and refinement that makes sustainability environmental is its core business. The line offered is of international inspiration and profile, drawing on the typical winemaking tradition of the Bordeaux area: the reds are aged in barriques and are the result of international vines as are the whites, where in some of them - as in the Altithude - it is also possible to find a native Lebanese variety, called Obeideh and identified as the ancestor of Chardonnay, which manages to give the products where it is used natural spicy aromas, which bring you back to the East in a single turn of the glass.
