Traminer 'In Haiden' by Herbert Zillinger is a pure Traminer that is produced in Ebenthal, Gänserndorf district, Austria. The vineyards are 20 years old and the production is strictly organic. Harvested at the end of October, this is followed by spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel vats without temperature control. Oxidation of the must is followed by rest on the yeasts for 7 months. No filtering. Fruity white wine with hints of litchi and citrus and floral notes of rose petals. Followed by spicy notes of gingerbread and cardamom. When tasted, the great minerality stands out, the elegance of the fruity and floral notes and the spicy final notes which harmoniously lead to the long finish.

Herbert Zillinger is located in Ebenthal (Gänserndorf district) in the Weinviertel (Lower Austria) - the most productive wine-growing region in Austria with 15,800 ha of vineyards. The soil is marly-limestone with the presence of gneiss rocks, granite, sandstones and typical loess sediments (a layer of fine sand similar to silt composed of silicates, quartz, feldspars, mica and other minerals). The climate is continental in temperature and oceanic in humidity, with fairly low average annual temperatures (9-10°C) and heavy rainfall (400-600 mm). All these factors give the wines great elegance, minerality, acidity and aromatic complexity. The characteristics that distinguish the winery are: great quality and diversity of production (native varieties such as Gruener Veltliner and Traminer are favored) and cultivation conducted according to organic farming.
