Timorasso by La Spinetta is made in the Tortonesi Hills from an ancient native Piedmontese vine of extraordinary structure and surprising longevity. The wine is left to rest on its noble lees for approximately 7 months, to then be filtered and bottled, where it remains refined for a further 4 months. The delicate notes of hydrocarbon and flint play in concert with citrus and floral hints, which return upon tasting. When tasted it is fresh and elegant. The notes of aromatic herbs and fresh white flowers are accompanied by good acidity. The finish is clean and persistent.

La Spinetta is today one of the most important wineries in Piedmont, a true point of reference for the production of Barolo and Barbaresco. It is a family-run production company that was founded in 1977, when Giuseppe Rivetti, known as "Pin", decided to move to the top of the Castagnole Lanze hill, called La Spinetta, after his marriage. And it is precisely here that Giuseppe began to experiment with a traditional sweet wine from Piedmont, Moscato. Since then many steps forward were made and the focus of production was dedicated to the creation of red wines, with the birth of the first Barbareschi towards the mid-1990s. From this moment the rise of the La Spinetta winery has continued, so much so that the great successes led the property to expand even outside the Piedmontese borders, pushing into Tuscany, where in 2001 65 hectares between Pisa and Volterra were purchased. Today La Spinetta is expertly directed by Giorgio, Bruno and Carlo Rivetti, members of a family that has made hard work the secret of its success.
La Spinetta covers approximately 100 hectares of vineyards, purchased over time with great care. In fact, the vineyards enjoy excellent exposure, towards the south, south-east and south-west, and the vines all have an average age of between 35 and 65 years, ideal for producing expressive and compact wines. La Spinetta wines are created exclusively from native vines, which historically belong to the areas in which they grow and develop. This is a decidedly prudent choice, which aims to enhance the territory, avoiding the uniformity of flavors that too often goes into fashion. Nebbiolo first and foremost, Barbera and Moscato are therefore the most protagonist grapes, which are cultivated with very low yields and with very careful work, because only from careful daily care of the vineyard can great wines be born.
It is precisely about large bottles that we must talk by taking a look at the range created every year by the La Spinetta winery, where the red wines are the undisputed stars of a production that speaks and tells the story of the territory in an impeccable way, bringing to life the most ancient traditions of the Langhe in the light of the most modern technologies. Obviously you can't help but fall in love with the different labels dedicated to Barbaresco and Barolo, wines which, in every declination, are able to amaze, always reaching absolute perfection.
