Sauvignon Blanc by Livio Felluga is a traditional Friulian wine, whose vine, of French origin, was introduced in Friuli during the domination of the Habsburgs and was widespread in the early 1900s. Fresh and captivating wine, with unmistakable and multiple aromas in which notes of exotic fruit, yellow pepper, tomato leaves, mint, lantana and boxwood stand out. Excellent freshness and great gustatory finesse. It is savory and harmonious. Complex and rich mouth, with citrus and tropical hints. A wine of great persistence, supported by a balanced acidity, it closes with a captivating mineral and balsamic note. Excellent as an aperitif, it goes very well with asparagus, vegetable soups, pulse purées and marinated fish.

A unique name in the Italian production scene, as well as a symbol of a region and its wines, it is easy to understand how much the story of Livio Felluga intertwines with that of a whole territory. A story that has as its protagonist a family that survived two world wars, which has witnessed the change of borders around it, and then decides to settle on the gentle buttresses of the Friuli hills. It is here that, not far from Cormòns in the province of Gorizia, Livio Felluga had to undertake a new battle to resurrect the hill, convinced that only the rebirth of quality cultivation could bring life back to the Friulian countryside. With great courage he began to rearrange the old vineyards and to plant new ones, introducing innovative ideas and methods. A hard work, made of stubbornness and passion, which over the years will lead him to create one of the most beautiful and significant business realities of the Peninsula, fully acquiring the unanimously recognized title of re-founder of the Friulian wine tradition.
Currently the company can count on a large area under vines, which from the denomination of the Collio up to that of the Colli Orientali del Friuli, covers about 155 hectares. In the vineyard, the varieties encountered are both native and international, for which we have Friulano and pinot bianco, chardonnay and ribolla giallo, sauvignon blanc and pinot grigio, picolit and refosco, pignolo and merlot . Grapes that are transformed into what are now called as the "wines of the geographical map", which has always been reproduced on the label and depicting an old map of the farms.
And then here comes the "Vertigo", the "Nuaré" and the "Sharis", then gradually all the others, up to the "Terre Alte": wines from a cellar that still shines today for quality and for the territorial character it manages to express, a true ambassador of the best Friulian - and therefore Italian - whites all over the world.
