'Verdeluce' by Famiglia Cotarella is produced in the Montecchio area, in the hills around Orvieto, particularly suited to high quality whites. Pinot Bianco, Semillon and Grechetto are three grapes that represent at the same time the bond with tradition and the desire of the winery to experiment. The grapes are harvested by hand according to their different ripening periods. First the Pinot Bianco which is cryomacerated, then the Semillon which is vinified in reduction, and finally the Grechetto which is vinified in white. The musts ferment separately in steel, then combined, always refining in steel for at least 6 months. The result is a very clean wine, with sensations of citrus, grapefruit, cedar, sweet and warm notes of yellow flowers and aromatic herbs. Fresh, enveloping, of great elegance and great cleanliness. Acidulous and very tasty finish.

The link between the Cotarella Family and the world of wine originated in the 1960s, when Antonio and Domenico Cotarella, winemakers in Monterubiaglio, a hamlet in the municipality of Castel Viscardo in the province of Terni, built the first winery for their own wine production. . The brothers Renzo and Riccardo Cotarella, both winemakers who grew up in a land of long winemaking traditions, driven by the passion of their father Domenico, then founded the current "Falesco" in 1979, transforming what used to be a small family business into a wine company. successful, to be left to later generations.
It is here, between Umbria and Lazio, that wines of unquestionable charm are born, characterized by a contemporary style and at the same time characterized by a particular longevity. Wines that in a few decades have become ambassadors of Italian wine in the world.
The company currently extends over an area planted with vines covering approximately 280 hectares, to which a further ninety hectares currently rented should be added. In a hilly area characterized by soils of volcanic origin, both autochthonous and international grapes are cultivated, whereby among the rows we find plants of aleatico, trebbiano, malvasia, verdicchio, sangiovese and vermentino, and again of merlot, syrah, viognier and cabernet. Bunches bred in full respect of the environment and ecosystem, which in the cellar are processed using the most modern and advanced oenological instruments, always used without ever distorting what the terroir and the season have come to express in the fruit.
